Recently students participated in a TIES activity/excursion to the Maritime Museum. Students enjoyed the 'real life' educational experience which complemented their classroom units of study. It was such a great way to end the week.

In April, TIES students participated in an Innovation Challenge presented by Study Queensland. Our students were able to:

**Network with other students and local employers.

**Solve real business challenges and get real Australian work experience.

**Build a professional network to access the 80% of jobs in the ‘hidden job market’.

**Gain problem-solving and innovation skills to help stand out in the job hunt.

**Compete for prizes and receive a signed certificate for recognition.

It was a valuable learning experience and was a wonderful opportunity for our students to immerse themselves in the English language.

Today, TIES students participated in a Study Townsville workshop on professional networking skills. What a great opportunity for our students to enhance their language skills and also gain practical experience with building professional connections within the workforce.
